Quest Facilities Crowd Funding Project

Amount Pledged
New Facilities

Who are we?
Quest Taekwondo is the name used by The Dojang Taekwondo Members Association. The association is a non profit association run by a committee of its members

Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to improve facilities in the building.

The plan is to install a new mezzanine floor, creating 200sq Foot of extra space.

This will be used in 3 ways.

1. Create a new space for parents to watch their children easier.

2. Create an Athlete Training Area.

3. Create changing room area.

Parents like to watch their children, but the current seating is too close to the training area. Sometimes children get distracted by their parents, so moving them upstairs benefits both children and parents.

The fight team need an area where they can do more specialised training with extra facilities. This gives them every chance to maximise their potential and performance, making their dreams possible.

Some people do not have the luxury in our club of a car, or their own transportation. They rely on walking or public transportation, travelling in their uniforms is not practical, so a changing room will be useful.

How we’ll spend the money raised
The money needed is as follows;

Mezzanine floor £3550

New Athlete Training Equipment £675

Changing room area £350

Total £4575

Community impact
Quest is a community sports club and has over 90% children from a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The area of Lincoln that the club is situated is recognised as an area of poverty and deprivation. Creating better Athlete facilities that more local people can use is our goal. To get specialist Athlete training, people have to travel outside the city, which is not always possible, due to higher costs.
