IMPORTANT URGENT NEWS ON MOVING

Bad News

Our current Landlords have plans to increase the rent on the Dojang by more than double what we are paying at the moment. This has been a last minute change and we have had very little notice.

This cost is not only unreasonable, it is not viable and unfortunately means that we have to move out of the current building immediately !! (by Monday 11th December)

The current landlords have made it clear there is no resolution.

The last lessons in our current building are Thursday 7th December.

GOOD NEWS

We have a new bigger and better venue agreed, only minutes away from our current location.

However…the new premises potentially may take up to 4-6 weeks before they are available, whilst all the legal paperwork is sorted.

Temporary VENUE

As a temporary solution, our classes will be held at Deans Sports Centre on Monks Road (Part Of Lincoln College).

These will be condensed classes and are likely to be

Monday’s – Wednesday’s – Friday’s

17:30 – 18:30 Juniors and Cadets.

18:30 – 19:30 Elite and Adults

However the days may be subject to change and dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

When we have our new premises, normal lesson times will resume.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT, WILL THIS AFFECT ME?

As we plan to move out of our existing building on the 7th December, it will affect our Awards / Party evenings.

These are now postponed, the club will organise something when we re-open at our new site in early 2024.

In January we hope to open as soon as possible, however these circumstances are outside of our control whilst we await the necessary legal documentation to be completed.

There is the potential that the club may be on a reduced class schedule for all of January at our temporary location. We feel it is therefore important to remind everyone that our terms and conditions state that we will provide 48 out 52 weeks training in a year and we will still meet these terms despite this change to our training schedule.

Any member who is affected and cannot make the temporary class structure will have 2 options.

1. Continue to pay and support the club, we will still honour our 48/52 week commitment for 2024, keep same payment for 6 months.

2. Suspend your Direct Debit for January 2024, resume in Feb 2024.

If you feel you are affected by the temporary situation, you must inform us.

If the club manages to open sooner and opens in January, you will have the option to pay pro-rota for January if you have suspended your January payment.

We will also be offering a yearly membership option, rather than a monthly payment. This will only be available for the first 10 people that apply. An annual payment will get a 20% discount. This will give the club a funding boost whilst we move. If you wish to save 20% on your membership, please contact us.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07904 602049. Please enquire during the day or when classes have finished.

Questions and answers

Q. What about my payments in January as I cannot make the temporary classes?

A. We would hope you can still honour the terms and conditions and continue to pay the club. However you can take a payment holiday if you prefer.
